Un artista straniero che frequentava con me un corso all’Accademia mi chiese se fossi slava…lì per lì risposi di no ma, immediatamente dopo, il pensiero andò alla nonna friulana e lui mi confermò che, nei miei tratti somatici, riconosceva una fisionomia a lui familiare.
Sulla carta d’identità risulto piemontese. Rispetto alle mie origini, per 1/4 sono veneta, 1/4 friulana e 2/4 siciliana (con antenati greci documentati da cognomi familiari inequivocabili).
Che dire…a 14 anni mi sono trasferita…ormai mi considero toscana.
Mi ritengo una persona fortunata…racchiudo dentro di me la memoria e la varietà della storia di popolazioni anche molto distanti una dall’altra.
Mescolate insieme mi danno sicurezza e un senso di continuità perchè so di avere radici ovunque…diramate…
Mi sento come una pianta con un apparato radicale molto vasto, che assorbe la sua sostanza e la sua forza dai terreni più fertili…non importa quanto lontani.
