Nato a Rho (Mi)nel 1929,dopo gli studi ed esperienze lavorative nel campo meccanico,diplomato perito tecnico, avviato alla dirigenza di ufficio tecnico e di cantieri di raffineria petrolchimica. Raggiunta la pensione, mi sono dedicato all'hobby della pittura che tutt'ora m'appassiona e mi soddisfa.
Born in Rho (Milan) in 1929, after studying and working experience in the mechanical field, a graduate technical engineer, started the management of technical office and construction of petrochemical refinery. When you reach retirement, I devoted myself to the hobby of painting that still, interest and satisfies me.
Formazione
Nato a Rho (Mi) nel 1929 e dopo gli studi con il conseguimento di diploma di perito industriale meccanici, mi sono avviato alla dirigenza di ufficio tecnico di progettazione ed alla conduzione cantieristica di raffineria petrolchimica e di apparecchiature subacquee. Raggiunta l'età del pensionamento, mi sono dedicato alla pittura, arte che ho sempre coltivato, in modo autodidattico. Ho partecipato a mostre collettive presso l'associazione culturale "Il Pomero" di Rho e di Vaprio d'Adda, e ho ricevuto il primo premio virtuale alla Most Popular ed alla Big Game di Gigarte. Attualmente abito e opero nel mio studio di Torino in Corso Potenza 71 - cap. 10149.
Le vicissitudini di una lunga guerra, hanno caratterizzato la mia infanzia e la mia gioventù, per la carenza di cibo e di tutte quelle piccole cose che servono per avviare serenamente i giovani ad una vita serena e lungimirante. Dopo il conseguimento della licenza di Scuola Media Inferiore nel 1943, il desiderio era quello di proseguire gli studi con indirizzo artistico, ma purtroppo per la mancanza dei fondi necessari, nel luglio dello stesso anno, mi ritrovai in reparto, all'Alfa Romeo di Milano, come apprendista e contemporaneamente mi iscrissi all'Istituto Serale E. Conti di Milano per il conseguimento del diploma di perito industriale. Nel frattempo dal '49 al '51, iscritto nella lista di leva della Marina Militare, fui imbarcato sulla Corvetta Cormorano appartenente alla Scuola Comando Ufficiali con istanza a Taranto. Per me, che uscivo dal trambusto della guerra, dagli impegni di lavoro e dello studio serale, fu il periodo più bello e spensierato della mia vita. La vita militare m'ha permesso di visitare la maggioranza dei porti e delle città di mare, di visitare l'Isola di Malta ed alcuni porti della Grecia. Fu da quelle esperienze che iniziai ad innamorarmi di tutto ciò che la natura mi offriva a costo zero. Dopo il congedo, ripresi gli studi e mi diplomai e , nel 1955 mi sposai con Barbara che mi donò due figlioli, Michele ed Elena che coronarono il sogno della nostra famiglia. Il lavoro cantieristico mi permise di continuare a conoscere l'Italia, in tutti i suoi particolari, e non v'è posto, dove esista una raffineria petrolifera, che io non ci sia stato. Raggiunto il pensionamento, proseguii il mio lavoro come libero professionista sino al 1994, quando mia moglie, aggredita da un male incurabile, mi lasciò.Periodo nero, durante il quale conobbi la piccola, giudiziosa ed amorevole Maria Bruna, anch'essa colpita dalla dipartita del marito. Nel 2003 ci sposammo e tutt'ora viviamo felicemente assieme. Cessata la mia attività lavorativa, mi sono dedicato con discreta frequenza alla pittura che tutt'ora tiene occupate le mie giornate e mi da notevoli ed appaganti soddisfazioni.
La mia pittura è realistica, semplice ed autodidattica. Dipingo prevalentemente con colori ad olio su tela e qualche volta mi diletto con la china nera ed a colori per eseguire tavole su cartoncino Fabriano. Non invento nulla e mi limito a portare sulle tele, qualcuna di quelle visioni, che raccolgo girando la bella Italia e altrove. Dedico molto tempo alla ricerca del colore adeguato, per rendere gradevole il mio operato ed a farlo collimare con il vero. Ringrazio tutti coloro che consultano e si soffermano sul mio sito e che apprezzano le opere rappresentate. Accetto molto volentieri, sia le critiche che gli eventuali complimenti che spero siano sempre veritieri. Ciao Luigi.
La Bellezza.
Il termine Bellezza, generalmente è definito come nome astratto, cioè, che indica qualcosa che
non si può vedere né materialmente toccare.
Vediamo e tocchiamo ciò che a nostro avviso è bello, ma non possiamo toccare la sua Bellezza.
La Bellezza, delle cose, delle persone, degli animali, degli spettacoli naturali e delle opere d’arte,
anche se soggettiva, è la qualità capace di appagare l’animo attraverso i sensi, divenendo oggetto
di meritevole e degna estasi ed entusiasmo.
Considero la Bellezza e la ricerco, sia in me che negli altri ed in tutto ciò che mi sta dinnanzi.
Anche se il Bello non è tutto ma è un semplice ornamento,
la sua contemplazione mi può essere utile a ritrovare gioia e positività, che seppure passeggere
ed effimere, mi permettono di trascorrere momenti di vera soddisfazione.
Cerco sempre di mettere in evidenza la mia idea di Bellezza ma, contemporaneamente, ammiro consapevolmente la grazia altrui.
Born in Rho (Milan) in 1929, after attaining a diploma in mechanical industry I was the manager of an engineering and technical design department and on-site manager of petrochemical refineries and underwater equipment. After retirement, I have dedicated myself to painting, an art which I had always cultivated through self-study. I participated in group exhibitions at the cultural association “Il Pomero”in Rho and Vaprio d’Adda, and I received the virtual first prize in the web contests “Most Popular” and “Big Game” of the Gigarte website. Currently, I live and have my studio in Turin, Corso Potenza 71 - pc 10149.
My childhood and youth were characterized by the vicissitudes of a long war, with the scarcity of food and of all those little things that are needed to start young people to a serene and harmonious life. After obtaining the middle school license in 1943, my wish was to continue my studies in the field of arts, but unfortunately, due to the lack of funds, in July of that same year I found myself working at Alfa Romeo Milano as an apprentice, and at the same time I enrolled in the evening school E. Conti of Milan in order to attain my technical diploma. Meanwhile, from 1949 to 1951, I was enrolled in the military Navy and embarked on the Cormorano Corvette belonging to the Officers Command School based in Taranto. To me, coming from the hustle and bustle of the war and the demands of work and evening study, that was the best and most carefree time of my life. The military life allowed me to visit the majority of ports and seaside towns, the island of Malta and some ports in Greece. It was through those experiences that I began to fall in love with everything that nature gave me at no cost.
After discharge, I resumed my studies and obtained my diploma and in 1955 I married Barbara, who gave me two children, Michele and Elena, fulfilling the dream of our family. My work in the oil-refining industry allowed me to continue to get to know Italy in all its details, and there is no place with an oil refinery where I haven’t been.
After retirement, I continued my work as a freelancer until 1994, when my wife left me, succumbing to an incurable disease. That was a sad period of my life, during which I met the small, sensible and loving Maria Bruna, who had herself endured the experience of the departure of her husband. We married in 2003 and still live happily together. After I quit working, I have frequently dedicated myself to painting, and this activity still keeps my days busy and gives me great satisfaction and fulfillment.
My painting style is realistic, simple and self-taught. I mostly work with oil paints on canvas and sometimes I enjoy using black and colour ink on Fabriano paper boards. I do not invent anything and I only reproduce on the canvas some of those visions I gather by traveling through beautiful Italy and elsewhere. I spend a lot of time searching for the appropriate colours to make my work enjoyable and make it stick to real life as much as possible. I thank all those who visit and linger on my website and appreciate the works shown there. I gladly accept both criticisms and appreciations, which I hope to be always sincere. Yours, Luigi.
Beauty. The word Beauty is defined as an abstract noun, that is, indicating something that you can not physically see or touch. We see and touch what we believe to be beautiful, but we can not touch its Beauty. Beauty, of things, persons, animals, natural wonders and works of art, although subjective, is the quality that can satisfy the soul through the senses, soliciting well deserved and appropriate ecstasy and wonderment. I consider Beauty and search for it, both in myself and others and in all that lies before me. Even if Beauty is not everything but only a simple ornament, its contemplation can help me find joy and a positive attitude which, even if fleeting and ephemeral, allows me to experience moments of real satisfaction.
I always try to emphasize my idea of Beauty but at the same time, I consciously admire the grace of others.

Paesaggi, marine e qualsiasi situazione che attira la mia fantasia. Non invento nulla,mi limito ad osservare la natura che mi circonda per trarne le più suggestive visioni e portarle sulle mie tele.
Landscapes, seascapes, and any situation that catches my fancy. Do not invent anything, I just observe nature around me to draw the most beautiful views and take them on my canvas.
