To push to one’s limits. To stake one’s all and see the reality mixing up in a whirl of dizzy emotions. To take on the challenge and suck its bitter, ephemeral taste. A few seconds. That’s all. It is subjective and unique. It is a deliberate choice. The artist/individual is forced to choose the best manner to express one’s own identity. The vision provided in this painting is altogether sincere but complicated, and is based on a widening field of vision and a dynamic perspective. Indeed movement is one of the most relevant features in the “Flight”, together with the saturation of the grey, which reaches the expressive level of an endless range of colours. The strong personality of stroke and mark is highly tormented by a topical doubt about the integrity of the self, so it appears changeable to its utmost. Full brush, dripped and dripping colour, watered so much that it seems, at times, shaded watercolour. A whole rainfall of effects is exploited to fill with powerful resolutions the necessary existential question. Black threads overlap with the flying shape; they are a knot of potential thoughts. Images not destined to sprout, stifled by an unstoppable speed. An imperative comes from the creative will: there is not, there will not be time. You have to fly now. Seize the day. Fly up to the world, before it comes to an end.

Spingersi fino ai limiti. Mettersi in gioco e vedere la realtà confondersi in un turbinio di vorticose emozioni. Accettare la sfida e succhiarne il gusto, pur acre ed effimero. Pochi secondi. È tutto. È soggettivo, unico, irripetibile. È una deliberata e lucida scelta. L’artista/individuo è obbligato a scegliere la modalità più consona all’espressione della propria identità. La visone che qui ci viene data, sincera quanto complessa, prevede un allargamento del campo ottico ed una prospettiva in movimento. È anzi lo spiccato dinamismo una delle caratteristiche più evidenti del Volo, accanto alla saturazione del grigio che dà origine qui ad un vero e proprio infinito cromatico. Attanagliata dall’attualissimo dubbio sulla integrità del sé, la personalità del tratto e del segno si fa estremamente varia e mutevole. Pennello pieno, sgocciolato, dripping spinto, annacquato a tal punto da sembrare, a momenti, acquerello sfumato. Una pioggia di effetti a colmare di risoluzioni potenti una problematica esistenziale feroce e necessaria. Fili neri si sovrappongono alla sagoma di chi vola, groviglio di pensieri in potenza; immagini destinate a non germogliare, castrate da una velocità ormai irreversibile. È un imperativo della volontà creativa: non c’è, non ci sarà tempo. Bisogna volare ora. Cogliere l’istante. Volare incontro il mondo. Prima che finisca.
